Fred's POV:

I've redeemed myself. After yesterday's trio of disasters, I did something right. I called Willow, the only living person who has performed the spell to restore Angel's soul. And now she has done it twice.

Willow is so interesting to me. For one thing, she's a witch, which makes her incredibly useful. She's also very intelligent. I would love to pick her brain about the research she's done, the demons she's learned about. Although I'm not sure if she wants to discuss research with me. I don't know why she told me she's seeing someone. That didn't seem to have anything to do with what we were discussing.

Another thing I really would have liked to have talked to Willow about is Wesley. I could tell by how she reacted to him that Wesley has changed a great deal from when she knew him. I really want to know what Wesley was like in Sunnydale, when Angel and Cordy first knew him. Was he confident and calm, like he seems to be now? Or was he nervous and unsure about his place? I know so little about his past, but hopefully more about his future.

I learned some more about him today. I learned that he would do anything to save a friend. I truly believe that using Orpheus was Wesley's idea but Faith's decision. He would not have forced her down into hell. And it worked. I don't know how, and I don't know how Faith knew to wake up and rush to the basement to stop Connor. But it worked and we got Angel back. I also believe that if Faith had chosen not to us the Orpheus that Wesley would have taken it himself and allowed Angelus to bite him.

Wesley and Charles are friends again. Maybe not as close as before but they are at least comrades in arms. `Wes called, [Charles] went.' He didn't ask questions or stop to consider. He went. Days ago, he wouldn't have, but now, after the torture we have been through with Angelus, he did. The tension between them, which was partly my fault, has dissipated.

Wesley looked so proud of me when he discovered that I called Willow. I did something right. And now Angel is back and Faith is leaving, returning to Sunnydale with Willow. So now we can discover what Angel learned about the Beast's Master, and continue with our fight and our lives.
