SUMMARY: While settling into their new home, Angel Investigations learn what happened to Sunnydale.

SPOILERS: All of Buffy and through Season 4 of Angel.

PAIRING: Wes/Fred

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry this took so long and is so short. I promise the rest will be longer.

It was silent for a minute as the two groups faced each other and Fred took a moment to observe. Angel stood in the middle, flanked by Gunn and Wesley, Lorne slightly behind Gunn, and herself next to Wesley, watching him for her cues and, if necessary, protection. Across from Angel was the blonde, who Fred realized must be Buffy. She was flanked by Willow, who faced Gunn, and a young man wearing an eye patch, assumed by Fred to be Xander. Next to Willow stood an older British man, presumably Rupert Giles, while a young teenager held Xander's arm tightly. "Dawn." Wesley whispered.

Behind the Scoobies were others. Faith and an older black man, a young blond man, and about twelve teenage girls, all exhausted, some wounded.

After a minute or two of silence, Angel finally spoke. "Buffy, you survived."

"We did. Sunnydale didn't. We thought we'd make L.A. our first stop. Nice digs you've got. Kinda of sunny though."

"Necro-tempered glass. No fire threat." Angel turned to Wesley. "Should we give them the tour?"

"Actually," Giles interrupted, "we should talk."

"Fred and I were going to do some research." Wesley explained. "Giles, why don't you come with us? Dawn too, if she likes."

"If Xander comes too." Replied Dawn. She looked up at him beseechingly.

"Sure, I'll come." Xander agreed cheerfully, hiding his worry about his surrogate little sister. Ever since they had departed the Sunnydale crater she hadn't left his side.

Fred piped up. "Willow might want to see the labs." Willow nodded. "Knox!" Fred called, seeing him at the front security desk. He came over. "Will you show Ms. Rosenberg around the science division?"

"Of course," Knox motioned for Willow to follow him.

"Kennedy, come with." Willow urged. The young slayer left the group and joined Willow on her tour.

"Gunn, how about you show Faith around." Gunn nodded. "Lorne, take the others to get some food and new clothes. We'll meet in the lunchroom in a few hours." Angel decided.

Everyone nodded and split up.
